Expanded Training for the Growing Cannabis Industry
The cannabis industry has exploded in Oklahoma, ranking ninth in the country for the number of jobs in the cannabis industry, according to a 2021 jobs report by Leafly, a cannabis investor group. That same report shows the industry employs more than 16,000 residents, which is more cannabis workers than construction workers.

91Ó°ÊÓ and Partners Selected for National Equity Transfer Initiative
91Ó°ÊÓ has been selected to participate in the national Equity Transfer Initiative with partners Northeastern State University-Broken Arrow and Oklahoma State University-Tulsa. In its first year, the national initiative selected 16 partnerships from across the country to focus on increasing transfer rates for African American, Hispanic, adult, and first-generation learners.

Grand Opening of $2.5 Million Chemistry and Biology Lab Renovation
91Ó°ÊÓ celebrated the grand opening of a $2.5 million renovation of three Biology and Chemistry labs at the Metro Campus. The Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation provided a $1 million gift and the Morningcrest Healthcare Foundation provided a $300,000 gift specifically for the project through the $20 million Clearing the Pathway: The Campaign for Completion.
