Withdrawals, Class Cancellations, Course Transfer, Refunds, and Waitlist Policy
Please read the refund policy before making any payments.
Any withdrawals from 91Ó°ÊÓ Continuing Education and Workforce Development (91Ó°ÊÓ-CEWD) must meet our refund guidelines.
91Ó°ÊÓ-CEWD Withdrawals
If you choose to withdraw from 91Ó°ÊÓ-CEWD course(s), a notification must be received in writing, email, telephone, or in-person to 91Ó°ÊÓ-CEWD's office no less than two (2) full business days (M - F) before the first day of class. (Courses with certain contents or materials may have an alternate cancellation policy.) Once this notification is received and meets our refund guidelines, a full refund will be issued. No refunds will be given after this period. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance nor the inability to finish coursework.
Credit/Non-Credit Programming Withdraw Policy
91Ó°ÊÓ-CEWD partners with 91Ó°ÊÓ Academic Schools and Departments to offer post-secondary courses for students to attend the same classes for credit. This is called co-listing classes and is also referred to as credit/non-credit programming. If you decide to withdraw from Credit/Non-Credit course(s), notification must be received in writing (via email), telephone, or in-person to the CEWD's office according to the date guidelines of 91Ó°ÊÓ Academic Calendar. Once this notification is received and meets their refund guidelines, a full refund will be issued. No refunds will be given outside of the calendar schedule. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance nor the inability to finish coursework.
Class Cancellations and COVID-related Changes
We make every effort to maintain class schedules. However, we reserve the right to cancel class(es) due to low enrollments or change the course contents when necessary. If a course is canceled by 91Ó°ÊÓ-CEWD, students may roll over to the next scheduled class, apply the tuition to another 91Ó°ÊÓ-CEWD course, or receive a full refund.
If a course is rescheduled for any reason, those registered will be contacted to verify availability for the rescheduled date(s). If those registered cannot attend the rescheduled class date(s), tuition will be refunded in full. If the class is cancelled, tuition will be refunded in full.
If a course is first scheduled in person and then transitioned to an online modality due to COVID-related concerns or if the College mandates all in-person classes transition to online classes, Continuing Education will proceed accordingly. No refunds will be given for this transition, except in both circumstances where the student is without access to internet and a computer and such access cannot be provided by Continuing Education. A partial refund proportionate to the remaining time until the class end date will be given when these circumstances apply and in the event class is discontinued when it is not possible to conduct the remainder of the class virtually. No refunds will be given in the event you, as the student, can not attend due to COVID. We understand the strain of the pandemic, and should you be unable to attend due to COVID, we will try our best to transfer you to the next available class date.
Course Transfer
You may transfer a course registration within the guidelines of the Withdrawal Policy. If you fail to attend the class you transferred into, you forfeit the full course tuition.
Refunds
Provided that requests are within our withdrawal guidelines, 100% refunds will be issued. Please allow up to three (3) weeks for check refunds. Failure to attend class or stopping payment on a check or credit card does not constitute withdrawal.
Waitlist
If a class is full, you may select "Join Waitlist." Be sure to have your student profile created, including your email address and a phone number so you may be contacted if a seat becomes available or when there is another class scheduled.
Invoice Policy
If your company or employer offers to pay for your course(s), then they may use a company check or credit card or we can invoice them directly if they supply us with a company purchase order number.
Our billing policy is for businesses only. We will invoice the student's employer only upon receipt of one of the following documents before the class starts:
- Company purchase order. This is the actual purchase order, not just a purchase order number. This may be faxed to us at 918-595-7993 or sent by email at ce@tulsacc.edu.
- Letter or email from the student's supervisor, human resources, or someone who is authorized to guarantee payment. This letter must state the student has permission to take the course and that the company guarantees payment.
- We are unable to register a student for courses until the purchase order or other paperwork is received. We will not accept contingent purchase orders, such as "must receive a passing grade or grade of 75% or better." If the company wants a student's course information, they may request a student release form. If a student is concerned about losing a seat in a class while waiting for their company to issue a purchase order, we suggest that the student pay with their personal credit card and seek reimbursement from his/her company.
Attendance & Grade Policy
To successfully complete a course and receive a transcript with CEUs, students must attend 70% of the class sessions, actively participate, and complete all course requirements. Courses with four or fewer sessions require 100% attendance.
Guest & Child Policy
91Ó°ÊÓ Continuing Education and Workforce Development (91Ó°ÊÓ-CEWD) allows only registered students into the classrooms. Because of reasons related to safety and potential problems in supervision, children will not be permitted on campus unless they are attended by a parent or guardian. No children are permitted in the classrooms or teaching areas. 91Ó°ÊÓ-CEWD students must make appropriate child care arrangements prior to enrolling in our courses. Refunds will not be granted to students who are unable to continue with coursework due to child care issues.
Accommodations & Disability Policy
91Ó°ÊÓ partners with students to provide educational opportunities to achieve academic success through accommodations offered by Accessibility Resources. If you are an individual with a disability who may require assistance or accommodation, or if you desire more information on disability access, please contact Continuing Education and Workforce Development office at 918-595-7200 and Accessibility Resources.
