Summer Internships at NASA’s JPL Means Research and Robotics for 91Ó°ÊÓ Students & Graduates
Three 91Ó°ÊÓ students and recent graduates start a prestigious summer internship program at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California this week. David Nnaji, Robin Blanchard, and Scott Walker will spend the next 10-weeks working in labs and conducting research. In addition, Tiffany Verlander, who was a JPL intern last summer, returns through a paid JPL internship.

91Ó°ÊÓ has announced the creation of a $25,000 endowed academic scholarship to honor Regent Martin D. Garber, Jr., who has served on the 91Ó°ÊÓ Board of Regents for 27 years.

All four 91Ó°ÊÓ campuses have earned the 2016 Tree Campus USA® designation by the Arbor Day Foundation. This is the first year for the Metro, Southeast and West campuses to receive the recognition and the fifth year for the Northeast Campus to receive the recognition.

91Ó°ÊÓ Names T.W. Shannon as 2017 Commencement Speaker
Former Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives T.W. Shannon will deliver the keynote address at the 47th annual 91Ó°ÊÓ Commencement Ceremony. Shannon was the first Chickasaw and first African-American to become Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2013 and the youngest at the age of 34.
